Used for: MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oils are shorter than fats that we normally use. LCT’s (long chain triglycerides) have over 12 carbons, whereas MCT’s have 6 to 12 carbons. Because of this difference MCT oils have completely different chemical and biological properties to other oils and fats.
