What Does Ozone do in the Body?

Ozone modulates the immune system and may reset the immune response. Because it modulates the immune system it may be very useful for treating autoimmune conditions such Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriasis, Grave’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Type 1 diabetes, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Celiac disease, Sjogren’s disease, Systemic Lupus erythematosus, Lupus, erythematosus, Ulcerative colitis, Scleroderma, Crohn’s disease, Inflammatory bowel disease, Vitiligo, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Dermatomyositis, Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis, Primary biliary cholangitis, Psoriatic arthritis, Antiphospholipid syndrome, Cholangitis, Sarcoidosis, Alopecia areata, along with many others. In cases of autoimmune disease, one also needs to detoxify heavy metals such as lead, mercury cadmium and the like along with other lighter metals such as aluminium and titanium which are toxic in low concentrations.

Ozone Stimulates the Production of White Blood Cells

Ozone stimulates the production of white blood cells. Enhanced white blood cells provide protection against viruses, fungi, bacteria and even cancer cells. Low oxygen causes the white blood cells to function incorrectly, which often results in autoimmune conditions such as Asthma, Lupus and the like. Ozone significantly raises oxygen levels for long periods of time and in fact it changes the way in which blood carries and stores oxygen. Allergies may disappear once oxygen levels are enhanced because the allergic reaction is desensitised. Ozone Increases Interferon Levels Interferons are globular proteins. Ozone therapy results in enhanced interferon levels. Interferons coordinate all functions of the immune system. Some interferons are manufactured by virus infected cells to warn other cells, reducing infection spreading. The cells that have been warned do not host the virus. Gamma interferon levels are increased by between 400 and 900% with ozone therapy. Gamma interferon modulates phagocytic cells whose job is to swallow up and kill abnormal cells along with pathogens. Other interferons are produced in the muscles, and by white blood cells. The FDA has approved highly toxic interferon therapy for the treatment of many conditions such as Leukaemia, Lymphoma, bladder and other cancers etc. It is far safer to introduce Ozone Therapy so as to stimulate interferon activity.

Tumour Necrosis Factor is Enhanced

Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) is produced when tumours are actively growing in the body. TNF is one of the proteins produced to attack tumours growing in the body. Generally, the greater the tumour the more TNF produced. Metastatic cancer happens when cancer cells detach themselves and spread in the blood and lymph to distant parts of the body. As a tumour is removed or decreases in size, TNF production decreases and tumours form in other previously healthy places. With high levels of TNF circulating in the bloodstream the body is protected against low levels of circulating cancer cells. If neoplasm size reduces then TNF production also drops making it easier for rogue cells to spread. Ozone stimulates tumour necrosis factor thus making the destruction of tumours far easier.

2,3 DPG Produced in Large Amounts

Erythrocytic 2,3-Diphosphoglycerate (2,3-DPG) levels in the haemoglobin control the amount of oxygen released from the blood into the cellular tissues. 2,3-DPG is an inorganic phosphate produced in red cells by the Rapoport Luebering shunt; 2,3DPG binds to the beta chain of reduced haemoglobin (Hb), lowering Hb’s affinity for O2 and by extension, 
facilitating O2 release to tissues. Ozone therapy facilitates the production massive quantities of 2,3-DPG.

IL-2 Increased

Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is one of the most important parts of the immune system. It is produced by T-Helpers. In a process called auto-stimulation IL-2 binds to the receptor’s on T-Helpers. When this happens more IL-2 is produced. IL-2 encourages lymphocytes, a form of small leucocyte (white blood cell with a single round nucleus, occurring especially in the lymphatic system) to program and multiply resulting in more T-helpers, T suppressors, cytotoxic T’s, T delayed and T memory cells and the like. Ozone stimulates the production of IL-2.

Unfriendly Bacteria is Destroyed by Ozone

Microscopically small bacteria are single celled creatures with an ancient structure. They multiply by division and take up foodstuffs and release metabolic waste. Bacteria’s metabolism is controlled by a complicated enzymatic system, surrounded by a strong cell membrane. Ozone at very low concentrations is very effective at killing bacteria. Ozone interferes with the bacteria’s metabolic processes inhibiting and blocking its function. Bacteria metabolism is inefficient and is therefore unable to produce anti-oxidant barriers (for example enzymes such as catalase). In seconds, 30 mcg/ml kills most unfriendly (anaerobic) bacteria. The good thing is that ozone does not harm friendly (aerobic) bacteria so the microbiome in improved.

Fungi is Effectively Destroyed by Ozone

Candida albicans, aspergillus, Histoplasma, Actinomycoses, Cryptococcus, athlete’s foot, mildews, yeasts, and moulds are all inactivated by ozone. Fungi are multi-layered and consist of about 80% carbohydrate, 10% glycoproteins and 10% proteins. It appears the fungi is deactivated by diffusion through the cellular wall.

Ozone Destroys Viruses

Viruses are minute particles made of macromolecules and crystals. They only multiply within host cells changing the host cells protein into their own protein. Many families of virus including Human rota virus, Norwalk virus, Hepatitis A, B and non-B and non-A virus, Parvovirus and Poliovirus 1 and 2 along with many other viruses are susceptible to ozone. Ozone attacks viral particles directly. The ‘reproductive structure’ is most sensitive to oxidation. When this structure is inactivated, they cannot enter cells for replication. Infected cells are destroyed by ozone (they are already weakened). These weakened cells have low metabolism and ozone defuses through the protein coating and into the nucleic core damaging the RNA. Ozone also destroys the exterior protein shell and damages both DNA and RNA.

Ozone Attacks Growths

Rapidly growing cells don’t have capacity to produce enzymes necessary to protect themselves against oxidative stress.  The problem is not cells that die but cells that do not die. Cancer cells are rapidly dividing, and they don’t die. Cancer cells divide rapidly and therefore are inhibited by ozone.

Ozone Scours the Blood Vessels

Ozone dissolves arterial plaque, both Arthrosclerosis and Arteriosclerosis. Blockages are cleared in large and small vessels resulting in Increased blood flow and therefore better cell oxygenation.


Ozone Increases Blood Cell Flexibility

Ozone increases the flexibility of red blood cells. They are then able to change shape so that they can fit into the smallest areas of the gas exchange in the lungs and tiny vessels. This flexibility keeps oxygen high for weeks after treatment. The blood cells are able to flex and move through the smallest veins and capillaries.

Ozone/Oxygen Improves the Citric Acid Cycle

The Citric Acid or Krebs Cycle is important for the conversion of carbohydrates. Most carbohydrate energy is converted to adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in this cycle. Ozone improves the citric acid cycle.

Potassium/Sodium Pump

Our bodies use and require a lot of energy. ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is one of the major sources of energy in our cells. It is continually being used up and replenished the whole time. The amount of ATP that your body manufactures each day weighs the same as your body. About a third of the ATP manufactured by our cells is used to power the sodium-potassium pump.

The Oxygen Paradox

Oxygen free radicals cause a cellular chain reaction because they have a missing electron, by continually robbing other cells of their electrons. Ozone is the greatest free radical scavenger because it replaces the missing oxygen electron in a free radical with its own unstable electron thus stopping the reaction in its tracks.

Petro-chemicals are Toxic to the Body

One of the problematic sources of bio-pollution are petrochemicals. Most pharmaceutical drugs contain petrochemicals in one form or another. Many skin care products contain harsh chemicals which are absorbed into the body via the lymphatic system. This process is easily tested by applying garlic under one’s feet; if your lymphatic system is functioning correctly you should taste garlic in the mouth within a few minutes. According to Doctor Helda Clark’s research, a common skin care product (a petrochemical product) applied to the skin reaches the internal organs within a few minutes. Because petrochemicals are solvents, they dissolve the fats that make up the organs. The immune system cells (T cells) are programmed or stimulated in the thymus gland, a tiny gland positioned in the upper chest behind the sternum. The thymus gland reaches its maximum size during puberty (about 28 grams). When petrochemicals reach the thymus is starts to dissolve which means that its ability to stimulate T cells is greatly reduced. The more petrochemicals the more the thymus is reduced the fewer T cells. The fewer T cells the weaker the immunity. Many people, especially in Africa, use harsh petroleum-based skin products and other petrochemical products on their skins daily; is it any wonder that we have the immune issues that we have? It may be best to read what product labels say and only use products on your skin that you can take in the mouth. Petrochemicals may cause or worsen allergies and autoimmune diseases. Petrochemicals in the body cause long-term health issues.  The good news is that Petrochemicals are oxidized by ozone. Although ozone helps to remove or oxidize petrochemicals it is wise to not use products that contain them. Natural alternatives are available that can replace them.
